arry Sparkman is a Miami based artist who makes nonobjective paintings and prints. His career as an artist includes an extensive list of solo and group exhibitions at venues throughout the United States. He has received numerous awards, and his paintings are in an impressive array of public collections. In 1989 he received a MFA in Painting and Drawing from LSU. In addition to making art, Barry is the Gallery Manager at the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami. He has also held a variety of teaching positions at several universities and has worked as a museum registrar and gallery director. is current exhibitions include Undergrowth at the Old Capitol Gallery in the State Capitol in Tallahassee, FL., and Painting Matters at Chelsea Galleria in the Wynwood District of Miami
